Twin Temples

An Act in Parts – Part III, 2013

Nottingham University Park, UK

Responding to the Treasures from Nemi exhibition held at Nottingham castle, this commissioned work was part of Art in Your Park. Twin Temples parasitically attaches to one of the folly pavilions that overlooks the lake. It covers the brutal back to create a full classical building in the round, and an intimate experience within the work in which to view the lake.

An Act in Parts is a series of works undertaken in 2013 that utilises the same latex sheeting to create scenarios in different sites. The sheets have classical motifs across their surfaces and eyelets that allow them to be attached using rope to different structures. After each Part in the series the work is cut up and reassembled into different compositions, in response to the next site.
