Materiality is a minefield. I vehemently rally against the hierarchies of materiality that gained their gravitas through presenting empire and patriarchy, we know who they are. I now add to this list the hierarchy of scarcity and the performative nature of material authenticity. Only now aware of my own performance of eco-authenticity in the use of waste and the found.
