In 2023, after a spell with just a backyard shed for a studio and a well-needed break from the art world, I took a studio in Bethnal Green, London. These works were made very quickly to partake in the open studio, a few weeks after my arrival. The break seemed to have done what was needed, giving fresh scope, working with found materials and making for sheer joy.
